Windows 7 Alternates. Please Help.

Recently bought what i thought was the full version of win 7 ultimate. But the sneaky lil' seller put the word 'upgrade' hidden in the text, and i can't claim my money back.
Seeing as i have the full upgrade with legit product key, is there any harm in using a home premium dvd for the 'base version' if you like, and then upgrading to ultimate, finally allowing me to upgrade?
if not i guess i'll have to re-sell and buy the full version.

You can do a full clean install from the upgrade disk using the well known work around which has been used since Vista days:
