Microsoft f*cked the pooch by not giving users the ability to customize the side panel. You can use only Microsoft's presets not add your own to it.
Microsoft knows whats best for you.... don't question the imperial wizards.

I think there's a little glitch in the Vista Start Menu. Sometimes when I open something with it, that program comes up underneath any window that's already there. If I open it with the regular start menu it comes up on top. I haven't made up my mind whether I'm going to let this bother me or not. I'm still puzzling over it.
