AVG has released Version 9.0 of its free Anti-Virus package.

AVG is garbage.

I had false posative problems with AVG and their forum was a bit snotty. I switched to Avast and when I had a problem I'd submit it and it would be cleared up ion a day or 2 in the updates. The problem AVG detected and froze on was SP2 for XP. I had it on the HD so I could slipstream XP. That and some of the other stuff for slipstreaming caused false positives

These updates are posted for the benefit of everyone and anyone who uses the forum. If you don't like the software, then I suggest that you don't use it.
