Lately when I receive an email from a trusted source and I click on the attachment included, it loads tons of attachments, from where I am not sure. There are many that I have received and no longer have and I think some are from the person sending the email. How can I stop this from happening. Today, it loaded 600 attachments. Thanks.

It sounds like the issue you're facing is related to how attachments are being handled in your email client or webmail service. Here are some steps you can take to address this problem: 1. Check Email Client Settings: - If you are using an email client like Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail, check the settings related to attachments. Look for options that control how attachments are handled and displayed. 2. Webmail Service Settings: - If you are accessing your email through a web interface (like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.), log in to your account and review the settings for attachments. Disable Auto-Download for Attachments: - In your email client or webmail settings, look for an option to disable automatic downloading of attachments when you open an email. This can help prevent unwanted downloads of all attachments. 4. Delete Unwanted Attachments: - If you have already downloaded unnecessary attachments, go through your attachments folder and delete the ones you no longer need. This can help free up space and prevent confusion. 5. Update or Reinstall Email Client: - If the issue persists, consider updating your email client to the latest version. If you are using webmail, try accessing your email from a different browser or device to see if the behavior changes. 6. Antivirus or Security Software: - Malware or security software on your computer might be interfering with email attachments. Ensure that your security software is up to date and run a full system scan to check for any issues. 7. Contact Email Service Provider: - If you are using a webmail service, you can also reach out to their support for assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps for attachment-related issues. By reviewing your email settings, managing attachments carefully, and ensuring that your software is up to date, you should be able to prevent the automatic loading of multiple attachments when you open an email.
