My adult granddaughter—who has a disability (CP)—has played Wizard101 since she was a tweener. Right now, she plays the game on an HP laptop that's a couple of years old and shipped with Windows 10. It's not up to running Windows 11, and I'd like to get her a new (but not expensive) laptop that comes with Win11. I'm looking online at the HP Stream 14" HD BrightView Laptop. Her current machine (also an inexpensive HP) seems to run the game just fine, so I'm pretty sure this new model (at $388) will handle it.
The HP Stream 14" comes with Windows 11S, which restricts the user to downloading exclusively from the Microsoft Store. I visited the Store, and as far as I can tell, the Store does NOT offer anything from Kingsisle Entertainment, the maker of Wizard101. Therefore, with this particular HP machine, I'll need to remove Windows 11S before I can download and install her game. That's fine with me.
I'd like to hear from people who are familiar with Windows 11S and this particular laptop. Regarding the Microsoft Store: Did I miss something while searching for Wizard101? Will this laptop have trouble running the game? It doesn't appear to make big demands on resources. I'm not a gamer of any kind, and besides I use a MacBook for my own work and play.
