    ]Check Grouping Options:
    • Sometimes, grouping settings can prevent items from being rearranged. Right-click in the folder and make sure there are no grouping settings enabled.
    []Restart Windows Explorer:
    • Restarting Windows Explorer can sometimes resolve issues with drag and drop functionality. To do this, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), locate "Windows Explorer," right-click, and choose "Restart."
    [
    ]System File Checker (SFC) Scan:
    • Run an SFC scan to check and repair corrupted system files that might be impacting the drag-and-drop functionality.
      • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command: sfc /scannow
    []Check for Updates:
    • Ensure your Windows system and drivers are up to date. Updates can sometimes fix issues related to file management.
    [
    ]Third-Party Software Interference:
    • Disable any third-party software that might be interfering with the drag-and-drop functionality.
    []Safe Mode Check:
    • Check if the issue persists in Safe Mode. If it doesn't, a third-party application might be causing the problem.
    [
    ]Create a New User Account:
    • Create a new user account and see if the issue persists there. This can help determine if the problem is user-specific. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a more complex issue at play. It could be beneficial to perform further diagnostics or seek professional assistance if needed.
