I am trying to install Windows 8 Release Preview. I made a bootable USB key from the iso file using the MS tool for the job, as I've done a bunch of times in the past for both Windows 8 and Windows 7.
On booting from the USB key, the "Windows" title comes up for a minute, and then the screen turns blue with white lettering with the following message:
"The operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.
File: NDIS.SYS
Errorcode: 0xc0000098"
I have successfully used this iso file and this USB key to install in the past - same computer as well. I have searched around, but haven't found anything that really matches this problem.
Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on, and how I might get the installation to proceed?
TIA...
[Edit - I guess my iso file must have gotten damaged in copying it around. I downloaded a new copy, and install went without a hitch.]
