Hi,
I've tried everything you said, but unfortunately, I still can’t properly connect to my router.
I should also add that I forgot to mention some pretty important information. I have several other computers that can connect to the router and get internet without any problem. And one of them is using my Linksys WUSB54GC USB wireless adaptor that works fine on that computer (which is running on XP by the way).
The symptoms again:
One minute I can see my router showing up in my available wireless connections and the other, it’s gone. Most of the time when I’ll try to connect to it, I wont be able to. But sometimes, I’ll be able to, but it gives me a limited connectivity warning, and if I try to either ping the router or to connect to the router setup page using the router IP address (192.168.1.1) it doesn’t work.
So I guess something might just be wrong with my windows 7, since the hardware I’m using works fine on other computers, and I’ve never had any real issues with my wireless network. But it is a newly installed version of windows 7 (64 bits), and no updates have been made (which is hard when you can’t connect to the internet), and everything else seems to work fine, so I can’t see what could’ve went wrong.
Thanks again for the help, and if anyone has anymore ideas that I should try, please let me know.
