hello to all! i am trying to help someone who commented on one of my YouTube videos on how to install Ubuntu. I have a step which involves shrinking a partition to make room for Ubuntu, and he has over 50GB of free space, yet can only take away 3000MB... if anyone could help that would be great! here are some screenshots VV

Have you tried a third party partition program? I prefer GParted, http://gparted.org/

It works via booting, through BIOS, when Windows is inactive. There are other similar programs too.

But be careful, since you may loose data in such operations. Secure your data on other disk(s).
