I have an HP desktop running windows basic 7. I also have an HP laptop running windows basic 7. I have a samsung wifi compatible divx player. I have the two computers networked together, and they communicate and do everything together that I need them to do. I have some videos I ripped on my laptop that I transfered to the desktop. The dvd player can see both computers, and can play the videos from the laptop computer. But when I try to play the same video from the home computer it comes up as an invalid or unrecognized file format.
I have both computers networked using the homegroup setting, both computers are sharing the folders or drives where the videos are located. The desktop I went through and shared each individual video file, but on the laptop I never had to do that. I have tried everything I can think of, but I know I am just missing some little thing here. Any Ideas??
