Windows 7 Computer and Control Panel not showing up

Hey guys, I am currently having a problem that I have been having for about a week or so. I start windows normally and it boots up and everything but then I go into my computer or Control Panel folders and nothing shows up, it has the little loading bar in the address bar but it completes and it still doesn't show anything. I go into safe mode and I open both and it shows the subfolders and the hard drive and such. I started having this problem right after I installed Corel video editing software, I'm sure that this had something to do with what happened, I uninstalled Corel and it still does it. I even Restored my system back to before I had the problem and it still doesn't work. Any ideas are welcome Thanks in advance!!

I am also having a problem with my dvd maker software, I can't upload clips to it so it can write them to a dvd.

I've heard Corel adds a Control Panel applet that causes problems..

What happens if you go to Start > Run, and type Control?

You could either re-install the application and remove it using RevoUninstaller to get rid of leftover registry entries and files.

Or you could step back on notch on your restore point.

What DVD maker software are you using?

Could you please fill out your computer specifications in the UserCP link at the top left hand side of the page. this would be most helpful.

For more information on your Components, go to Start > Run, and type msinfo32 and expand the Components section.
