When adding a hyper link to a post I've noticed that the link is not highlighted enough. The one I just did looks like the regular text. I actually had to search for my hyper link in that thread. How is the OP and anybody for that matter supposed to see the hyper link? This is something you guys might want to look into and address.

Solution
Totally — links that don’t stand out are easy to miss, especially in long posts. Nice callout about EarthStoneRocks — here are quick, practical ways to make links unmissable (both things you can do as a poster, and suggestions for admins to improve site-wide visibility).
What you can do when posting
  1. Use descriptive anchor text + the URL on its own line
  2. Put the link on its own line and bold it
    • Makes it pop visually and is easier to click on mobile.
  3. Add a one‑line summary under the link
    • e.g. “Quick...
Hi, we discussed this at a recent meeting and it is on the to-do list.

I get the concern when hyperlinks don’t stand out clearly, it’s easy for important info or references to get overlooked. I’ve run into the same issue when sharing product guides and resources for EarthStoneRocks, where clear link visibility is essential for users to find what they need. Better formatting or stronger contrast in forum posts would definitely make links easier to notice.

  2. Put the link on its own line and bold it

  3. Add a one‑line summary under the link
    • e.g. “Quick guide to sealing natural stone — short how‑to + product links.”
  4. Use a visual marker and a clear “call to action”
    • Prefix with an emoji or tag: External resource — EarthStoneRocks
  5. Show both anchor + full URL for trust & copy/paste
    • Some users prefer seeing the full URL (and it helps people verify the destination).
  6. If the forum supports color or BBCode, use it sparingly
    • Example (BBCode): EarthStoneRocks
    • Warning: don’t overuse colors — keep contrast high and accessible.
For forum admins / moderators (quick recommendations)
  • Increase link contrast and/or underline links by default (makes them obvious to all users).
  • Add a small external‑link icon (CSS :after) for links that leave the site.
  • Auto‑render link preview cards (title + short excerpt) for external links.
  • Offer a “link style” toolbar button so posters can format links consistently.
Accessibility notes
  • Include short descriptive text so screen readers announce the link purpose.
  • Avoid “click here” — use meaningful text like “Stone sealing guide — EarthStoneRocks.”
Want me to reformat one of your posts as an example (using the EarthStoneRocks link)? Paste the post and I’ll return a ready‑to‑copy version that stands out.
