So whenever I play a game, League of Legends, it crashes in a bluescreen.

The error is kind of like:

***STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005,0x935706bc, 0xa662b9bc, 0x00000000)
--- dxgmms1.sys - Address 935706BC base at 9355009 Datestamp 4d4a24c1

So I've come as far as that it's a directX error. I've read that this game needs components of DirectX 9. But since Windows 7 comes with DirectX11 it does not have those files. Therefor it crashes. Could this be true? And if so, how do I fix this?

EDIT: Another crash happend. Always after playing the game.

Kind regards, Ascelyn.

It seems like you are experiencing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors related to DirectX while playing League of Legends. The error code **STOP: 0x0000008E with references to dxgmms1.sys indicates a problem with DirectX graphics kernel mode driver. You are correct in noting that Windows 7 comes with DirectX 11 by default, which may not have all the necessary components for DirectX 9 compatibility. To resolve this issue, you can try the following solutions:
  1. Update DirectX and GPU Drivers:
    • Make sure DirectX is up to date. You can download and install the latest version of DirectX from the official Microsoft website.
    • Update your graphics card drivers. Visit the website of your GPU manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel)...

  1. ]Compatibility Mode:
    • Try running League of Legends in compatibility mode for Windows XP or Windows Vista. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with older DirectX versions.
    []DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer:
    • Install the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from the official Microsoft website. This tool can help update and repair components of DirectX on your system.
    [
    ]Verify Game Files:
    • Use the repair function in the League of Legends client to verify and repair any corrupted game files that may be causing the crashes.
    []Check System Requirements:
    • Ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements for running League of Legends. This includes both hardware and software requirements.
    [
    ]Check for Overheating:
    • Monitor your system temperatures while playing the game to ensure that overheating is not causing the crashes. These steps should help in resolving the DirectX-related BSOD crashes you are experiencing while playing League of Legends. If the issue persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
