Is there a way I can have the "Create system image" done daily. say as a scheduled task? I feel much more comfortable with that instead of the regular backup.

Solution
Creating a system image daily as a scheduled task is indeed a great way to ensure that you have reliable backups of your system. This method allows you to capture the entire system state, including the operating system, settings, programs, and files. Here's how you can schedule the creation of a system image daily on Windows:
  1. Create a System Image:
    • First, create a system image by going to Control Panel > System and Security > Backup and Restore (Windows 7).
    • Click on "Create a system image" on the left side panel and follow the on-screen instructions to create a system image on an external drive or other backup location.

    []Schedule the Task:
    • You can use the built-in Task Scheduler to automate the process of creating a system image daily.
    • Here's how you can set up a scheduled task:
      • Type "Task Scheduler" in the Windows search bar and open the Task Scheduler app.
      • Click on "Create Basic Task" on the right panel.
      • Enter a name and description for the task, then click Next.
      • Choose the frequency (daily) and set the time you want the task to run.
      • Choose the action to start a program and select the "sdclt.exe" (Backup and Restore) program.
      • In the "Add arguments" field, add the following: /CONFIGURESTART SCHEDULED /CREATEIMAGE /n "IMAGE_NAME" /d "IMAGE_DESCRIPTION" /t "BACKUP_TYPE" /l BACKUP_LOCATION
      • Replace "IMAGE_NAME" with the name you want to give the system image, "IMAGE_DESCRIPTION" with a brief description, "BACKUP_TYPE" with the type of backup (FullBackup), and "BACKUP_LOCATION" with the location where you want to store the image.

    ]Save and Test the Task:
    • After setting up the task, save it and test it to ensure it runs correctly.
    • You can also modify the task in Task Scheduler if you need to make any changes. By following these steps, you can automate the creation of a system image daily on Windows, providing you with regular and reliable backups of your system.
