Windows 7 Default Window Size Failure

Installed 7 yesterday. All went well. This am window would only open to half size. In Vista we could fix this by opening a link by right click and asking the link be opended in a new window and then X it out. It would then recall that size as the default. This does not seem to work in 7. Who can fix this. Simply re sizing it up and over is not working.

I'm intrigued by this question even though I don't quite understand it. Can anyone shed any light here?
