I use to be able to download a program's install .exe to my desktop. Now when I try to do that I receive a pop up that basically says this is a "non valid path". This just started a couple of days ago. I did do a system restore a couple of days ago but I only went back approx. 3 days and i never had this problen before that. For that matter I have never had Win7 do this to me.

Hi,

1. Right click somewhere on the desktop background and from the appeared shortcut menu choose Personalize.

2. In the appeared Personalization window, click the Change Desktop Icons link in the Navigation pane to open the Desktop Icon Settings dialog box.

3. Click the check boxes for all the desktop Icons you want to appear on the Windows 7 desktop.

4. To close the Desktop Icon settings, click OK and then click the Close button in the upper-right corner of the Personalization window.
