Hey,

Desktop Window Manager is causing GPU usage peaks, when other program is being used, causing extrem lags! I cant work properly.
I never had problems running Ableton (audio production and editing software) but suddenly my GPU is running on its limit because the process Desktop Window Manager is using all its power when i use ableton.
As soon as i close ableton the process Desktop Window Manager is using just a few % of the GPU.
i made Screenshots

Anybody knows how to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance

Solution
It's not a Windows problem it's Ableton. It certainly could be a bug in their code. From some google searches it looks like they had a similar issue in version 9.
DWM would be processing all the graphics from the Ableton process as well as GPU acceleration from Ableton

Is there a way to turn off the use of the GPU by the ableton process
anyway the Nvidia GPU has enough power left but its only using the internal GPU
Just horrible programing or some wrong settings?
cant belief it
its not lagging for a while and then starts to lag extremly out of nowhere
then stops again and starts again
is windows really so crappy?
