Expanded View for Widgets
Microsoft is starting to roll out an expanded view for Widgets. This feature, available to a select group of Insiders initially, lets you enlarge your widgets board to display more information at a glance. Simply use the new expand and collapse button located at the top right of the board, next tothe add widgets button. The size selection will be remembered for subsequent sessions.
Game Pass Widget Improvements
The Game Pass widget has also received an update. Users can now sign in with their Xbox profile directly through the widget, making it easier to access and view the full range of Game Pass games. Additionally, the widget will show the most recently played PC Game Pass titles, streamlining your gaming experience.Additional Changes and Improvements
File Explorer
- Live Search Results: File Explorer search now shows results as you type, updating the results page live without needing to press Enter.
- Cloud
File Integration: There’s ongoing experimentation with integrating more cloud files into search results from the Home section.General Fixes
- Bugcheck Issue: Fixed a problem causing a bugcheck when moving the mouse in certain games.
- Memory Leak: Resolved a memory leak issue in File Explorer.
Taskbar and Input
- Taskbar Overflow: Taskbar apps in the overflow flyout should now appear correctly ordered in Arabic or Hebrew display languages.
- OneNote Issue: Addressed an issue preventing OneNote from opening via pen click if the app had never been opened before.
Known Issues
- Audio and App Crashes: There are reports of audio not working for
some Insiders and certain apps crashing in recent builds. - OneDrive Setup: Some Insiders are encountering recurring OneDrive setup prompts on reboot.
- File Explorer Command Bar: Items like copy, paste, and empty recycle bin may not be enabled when they should be.
Tablet-Optimized Taskbar
- Issues include the taskbar sometimes flashing during transitions between desktop and tablet posture, and the taskbar not always dismissing as expected when using edge gestures.
Widgets for RTL Languages
- In right-to-left languages like Arabic, the content might animate out of view before the widgets board resizes during expansion.

- The latest Windows Insider SDK is available
