Windows 7 dns _probe_finished_no_internet

My home's internet will completely fail and will go out for about 2-3 minutes at least once a day. I've only noticed it while in a game or watching a stream but when I pull up a new window on Chrome, I get the error dns _probe_finished_no_internet. After a couple of minutes, the internet comes back and everything is all good but it is so frustrating. Any ideas on how to solve this?

All computers on my network are affected, wifi or ethernet. So it must be something wrong with the router or modem, we have both.

This happens to my router from time to time and in fact I have a new one arriving today. You could try turning your devices off for around 30 seconds to a minute. This should hopefully stop the drop outs for a while, if not consider replacement.

Thanks, it seems to have been fixed for now. Do you know what might have caused this?
