Not sure if this is the right forum, but when attempting to open any downloaded files other than those outside Microsoft Office, I get the message "Class not Registered." I get the same message on all browsers (all updated too). For what it's worth, I just got done uninstalling some programs and condensing some folders on my hardrive - I figure I did something dumb that caused this to happen. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing what exactly it was, so I hope someone here knows what it is I need to do to fix this. Thanks!

You could check this, first answer:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...tered-in/1a2e8a40-6dec-42e1-bb85-70a719e9fbbb

Anyways, when asking, you should preferably give more info about your OS, like if it is 32 or 64 bits, as well as [perhaps] info about your system hardware.

I find it unlikely that you have done something dumb - a statement made by a person who has done all dumb there is to make...

Solution
My apologies. I use Windows 7 64 bit.

I tried the System file Checker Tool, and although it supposedly fixed some issues, the "Class not Registered" message still persists. Thanks!
