Hey guys, I've been having some issues with BSoD's recently, and Microsoft Support told me it was hardware when it definately was not. I have the .dmp analyzed by WinDBG, so here it is:

DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL (c5)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is
caused by drivers that have corrupted the system pool. Run the driver
verifier against any new (or suspect) drivers, and if that doesn't turn up
the culprit, then use gflags to enable special pool.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000000caf00f27, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
Arg4: fffff800035c2a9b, address which referenced memory

The error happened when I was playing Battlefield 3 [Medium Settings]. All of my hardware info is completed, so I think I'm set. My system isn't overheating at all, and the CPU is the only thing Overclocked. I've done tests on the CPU to make sure it's stable, and it passed all the well-known tests. So CPU overclocking is out-of-the-question.

Can anyone help a buddy out?

Thanks in advance,

I don't have my system set up to do dump files, but the Pool Corruption is normally some driver trying to write or access data in to a reserved location. The IRQL might mean it is using an Interrupt priority no appropriate for the operation.

I am not the expert here on dump files, but have you noticed any specifics about what is happening when the error occurs? Have you tried changing out the mouse

Yes I have tried changing the mouse to my backup (this one sometimes dies; the other one is a Logitech M510). I've tried changing the video card back to my old one [ATI Radeon HD 5450]. Also tried using an external audio card I bought online, and there was no change there. So I don't think it's a driver issue. :/ Thanks for replying though!

Solution
huh. When I checked on Driver Verifier, it was LogMeIn. Let's see if I get a BSoD if I uninstall LMI. Thanks for the push in the right direction!

That error seems to be an access denied error. You might check the Event Viewer to see if anything shows up there.

When does the error happen or can you pin it down to some specific action or utility?

The error happens in both Google Chrome [updates automatically] and Battlefield 3 [Tried running both these programs as administrators, checking permissions, and nothing was wrong]. In Chrome the page just shows "Woah! Google Chrome has crashed!". Battlefield 3 actually makes the screen go black, and thankfully I have a second window [I play BF3 in full screen mode] that I can move the crashed dialogue so that I can close the program.

Not sure where to start looking, but I asume Event Viewer yielded no info?

It seems to be related to the network connection. Does it happen with IE and Firefox?

Do you have the Windows Firewall logging enabled?

Can you go to the Origin site to just look and sign in without problems?

Anything in the Origin user groups about the error and BF3? Are you using online or offline BF3?

2. Yes, the same issue, except that ALL of FireFox crashes. [I think it's because Chrome runs the tabs in multiple executables]

3. No I don't, but now I do.

4. Yes, I can go to Origin, but just randomly it crashes.

5. Yes, I play online, and several other users are having this issue.

You seem to be referencing a file I do not have on my system. Possibly because I do not play multi-player, but I have nvwgf2umx.dll, not nvwgf2um.dll. Not sure if it was involved, it would effect anything other than Origin games. But it is related to Nvidia. I do see the file in the Nvidia Drivers install folder but it was never used on my system.

There is a IE version with no add-ons if you look in the All Programs, Accessories, System Tools. You might check and see if it crashes also.

If you get a chance, could you run the following command in a command prompt windows and then attach the resulting text file. You might edit it first in case there is some info you do not want to post.

ipconfig /all > %userprofile%\Desktop\Ipconfig.txt

You can copy and paste in the command window if you like.

I see a couple of differences between my normal Network Adapter setup and yours.

You do not have DHCP enabled, so I changed my to be like yours. But you seem to be missing some IPv6 entries (Temporary IPv6 Address). I did not set any manual address in my system, so If you did that it might explain. I don't think the IPv6 entries should make that much difference, but do not know for sure.

Your DNS servers are xxx.xxx.36.36 and xxx.xxx.35.35. I would have thought they would have both been xxx.xxx.36.xxx or .35.xxx, but this could be normal for your system.

Along with the earlier IPv6 comments, you don't seem to show a Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface... Maybe this is why the IPv6 entries are different.

Again I do not know if anything is related to the problem, but you might try setting the system back to DHCP to see if it makes a difference.
