I have Windows 7 64 bit done as a clean install.
I downloaded and installed Thunderbird 3.
Don't like it.
Can Live Mail be installed on my desktop? Is it any good?
Or can you recommend another email client that is eas y to use and secure?
Thanks.

The idea behind Windows Live Mail is simple: take advantage of the latest Web technologies to provide a Web-based email client that offers much of the same functionality that people expect from true client-side applications such as Outlook Express and Outlook. And indeed, Windows Live Mail supports such client features as drag-and-drop, right-click, and message previewing, while providing 2 GB of storage space. Windows Live Mail will eventually replace Microsoft's popular Hotmail service.

Windows Live HOTMAIL, is a web based client. Windows Live Mail is a replacement for Outlook express. It can be installed and used on the desktop, in exactly the same way as you did with OE. It has several better features.
Windows Live Mail is able to work, also, with most of the third party e‑mail services, as well as e‑mail services provided by ISPs. All that's required is for the e‑mail provider to offer Post Office Protocol (POP3) or Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) access. and
Its Free.
