Tab groups in Chrome allows for better organization of your open browser tabs, the ability to move the entire tab group and even close the entire group with a few clicks.
To get started with tab groups launch Chrome if it's not already running
Enable and Create Your First Tab Group
Open a new type and go to chrome://flags
In the search bar enter "Tab group" and change it from Default to Enable (this will cause Chrome to reload)
Once Chrome has reloaded right click on any tab and select "Add to new group"
You should now see a colored bar under the tab as well as a large dot of the same color (mine defaulted to white)
Clicking the dot will allow you to name and select a different color for the group
Adding Multiple Tabs to a Group
Select the left most tab you wish to add to a group
While holding shift select the right most tab you wish to add
Right click and select add to existing group and all selected tabs will be added
Moving Tabs Between Groups
You can right click the tab and select "Move to existing group" or
Click and drag the tab into another tab group
Removing Tabs From Groups
You can right click a tab and select "Remove from group" or
Click and drag the tab out of the group
Closing All Tabs In a Group
Right click on the tab group label and select "Close Group "
Ungrouping a Tab Group
Right click on the tab group label and select Ungroup
