Hi, I need some quick help in enabling hardware virtualization on my laptop.
My operating system is Windows 7 and I am using HP Pavilion DV6.
For my uni course, I need to run Linux on Oracle VM Virtual Box, but in the process I got the following error message:
After some googling, many sources told me that I needed to switch from "Disabled" to "Enabled" in my BIOS under "System Configuration" where it says "Virutalization Technology". However, I CANNOT EVEN FIND 'VIRTUALIZATION TECHNOLOGY' UNDER ANYWHERE. Here is what it looks like:
I supposed the "SVM support" thing was something similar and I tried switching to "Enabled" and rebooting only to discover that it didn't do the right thing either.
What do I need to do to get past the error message on the virtual machine?? This is pretty urgent.. any help is very much appreciated! Thank you in advance.
