Windows 7 Fail to update KB2552343

Hi, all:


I'm using Windows 7 64bit Professional and failed to update x64-based KB2552343 .
Reported error is Code 800B0100.


I strictly followed the solution mentioned What is the System Update Readiness Tool?
but nothing changed, still the same error.


Can anybody give me a hand please?

It may be worth trying with your Firewall temporarily disabled while you download and install. Don't forget to re-arm your firewall !!

Updates do fail occassionally but will normally try again later. The error message seems to mean "No signature was present in the subject" but looking at the WindowsUpdate.log in the Windows folder, or maybe the ReportingEvents.log in the Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder would give more clues. A good internet connection seems to be fairly important with Windows Update.

If you want to try to install it manually, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog and download and install manually. Make sure you get the correct version.
