Windows 10 file history does not run on schedule

I have file history set up with default settings, it is supposed to run every hour.
All along I have been creating and editing files in one of the included libraries, but I noticed that it has not run for a few days.
I manually ran it, which went okay. but since then, more than an hour has passed, and it has not run again, even though I have been creating, editing and saving a Word file in an included library.

I checked the settings again, and it says it will run every hour, but it doesn't.
 
I back up to my second hard drive.
I was playing around with various security software during the past few days, and I suspect that might have done it. I did notice at a certain point that some valid windows processes were being blocked.
So, I restored from a system image, and now it seems to be working again.
 
That will do it, you can always look in the event viewer for error messages regarding file history in the future.
