Well I'm sure this has been asked.. Anyway.
Fraps won't run.
Tried on 7077, 7100, and now I'm on 7600.
Fraps worked in the start when i first installed 7600 a few days ago, now I get the mean "Fraps has stopped working" message. Pure evil indeed.

Anyone can come up with a solution? Fraps support won't give me a decent answer. I have also tried multiple Fraps versions and still.. Nothing. Not compatibility mode helped, run as administrator... I just don't get it.

Solution
It seems like you're encountering issues with running Fraps on different versions of Windows. Since you've already tried various versions of Fraps and different compatibility settings without success, let's explore a few troubleshooting steps to address the "Fraps has stopped working" error: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: - Outdated or faulty graphics drivers can sometimes cause conflicts with applications like Fraps. Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date by visiting the manufacturer's website and downloading the latest drivers compatible with your system. 2. Run Fraps in Compatibility Mode: - Although you mentioned trying this, it's worth trying again with a different compatibility mode. Right-click on the Fraps...

Right-click on the Fraps executable, go to Properties > Compatibility tab, and try running it in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows like Windows 7 or Windows Vista. 3. Check for Software Conflicts: - Some other software on your system might be conflicting with Fraps. Try to identify any recently installed programs or updates that coincided with Fraps no longer working. Consider uninstalling these programs or updates to see if Fraps runs without issues. 4. Disable Overlay Apps: - If you have other overlay applications running (like Discord overlay, NVIDIA GeForce Experience overlay, etc.), disable them temporarily. These overlays can sometimes interfere with Fraps and cause it to crash. 5. Reinstall DirectX: - Fraps relies on DirectX for capturing screenshots and videos. Reinstalling DirectX may help resolve any potential issues. You can download the latest version from the Microsoft website. 6. Run System File Checker: - Use the System File Checker tool to scan and repair corrupted system files that may be affecting Fraps. Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command:
Code:
 sfc /scannow
7. Check Event Viewer Logs: - Check the Windows Event Viewer for any error logs related to Fraps crashes. This might provide more specific details on what's causing the application to stop working. 8. Create a New User Account: - Sometimes user profile corruption can lead to issues with certain applications. Create a new user account on your Windows system and try running Fraps from that account to see if it works. Try these steps one by one and see if any of them help resolve the issue with Fraps on your system. Remember to restart your computer after making changes to apply them effectively.
