Hello everyone,

I am using windows 7 RC, here's my system specifications first of all,

---Grap. Card : HIS ATI Radeon HD 2600XT agp
---Mainboard : Biostar K8M800 Micro AM2
---Processor : AMD Athlon X2 4800+
---RAM : Kingstone 2x1GB 800 Mhz

Here's what's wrong, my computer freezes whenever i watch a video (both in fullscreen and windowed mode). It also freezes when i try to watch streaming videos from youtube, etc. It happens about after 1 minute from opening the video. I installed and uninstalled KLcodec pack which is build for windows 7.

I appreciate any help and comment,
Sorry for the long post,
Thanks

It seems like you are experiencing issues with freezes when watching videos on your Windows 7 RC system. Let's try to troubleshoot this problem step by step: 1. Graphics Card Driver Update: - Ensure that you have the latest driver for your ATI Radeon HD 2600XT AGP graphics card. Outdated graphics drivers can often lead to performance issues. - Visit the AMD support website and download the latest driver for your specific graphics card model. 2. Codec Pack Issue: - Since you mentioned installing and uninstalling the K-Lite Codec Pack, it's possible that the codec pack is causing conflicts. - Try uninstalling the codec pack again and see if the issue persists without it. Windows 7 usually includes built-in codecs for common...

Windows 7 usually includes built-in codecs for common video formats. 3. Browser and Flash Player: - If you are experiencing freezes specifically with online streaming videos like YouTube, ensure that your browser is up to date. - Update Adobe Flash Player or switch to HTML5 video playback on YouTube if possible. 4. System Resource Monitoring: - Monitor your system's resource usage while playing videos. Check if there is a sudden spike in CPU, RAM, or GPU usage before the freeze occurs. 5. Temperature Check: - Verify that your system is not overheating during video playback. Use monitoring tools to check the temperature of your CPU and GPU. 6. Troubleshoot in Safe Mode: - Boot your system into Safe Mode and try playing videos to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if any third-party software is causing the problem. 7. System Stability: - Check for any other stability issues on your system such as system crashes or freezes in other scenarios. It could point to a broader system problem. Try these steps and see if any of them help resolve the freezing issue while watching videos on your Windows 7 RC system. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you notice any specific patterns related to the freezes.
