I have a desktop gadget that works fine on Windows 7 32 bit OS, but will not work on a Windows 7 64 bit OS. I have tried running the 32 bit sidebar service (as administrator), but it will not work in either 64 or 32. I hope somebody can help.

Check Security Software: - Sometimes security software can interfere with gadgets. Temporarily disable any security software you have and see if the gadget works. 6. Run in Compatibility Mode: - Right-click on the gadget's executable file. - Go to "Properties" -> "Compatibility" tab. - Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows 7." 7. Update Windows 7: - Ensure that your Windows 7 operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues. 8. Check Event Viewer for Errors: - Look for any error messages related to the gadget in the Event Viewer. This can provide more specific details on why the gadget is not functioning correctly.
