So I have Windows 7 and I have google chrome pinned to my task bar at the top. Whenever I click on it, it starts up for a moment on the part that's pinned, then it opens up a new one at the bottom of my task bar. I've tried pinning the newly opened window to my task bar instead, but whenever I restart my computer it does the same thing. I don't know if this is a problem with Windows or with Google Chrome but I would just really like to fix it.
Solution
It could be you have several profiles open? Otherwise, you may want to check Issue 91650 - chromium - Multiple icon Google Chrome in taskbar when use profil - An open-source browser project to help move the web forward. - Google Project Hosting

I'd say, uninstall Google Chrome and reinstall it. Be sure it's the latest upgrade. Also be sure you have the latest Windows updates. Sounds like a glitch, not necessarily harmful, but annoying. "A piece of me doesn't really work with a piece of you". You know?
