Windows 7 Google Toolbar search history

I installed Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer as it has word and phrase search history but it stores only
words and not phrases and divides phrases in to words and stores only the last words searched. How can i make it to store all past phrases and also the new phrases and how i can select those phrases?

Personally I stay away from toolbars as they do nothing but slow down ones system.
