Windows 7 Gordon needs you

The other day I opened uo steam to play a game and got a few messages about new games like you do... Anyway one of them said 'Gordon needs you' and there stood Gordon Freeman crowbar in hand (I think). Below him was the date 7/10/09 or 7th of October 2009 I'm sure of it... I can't seem to find any other info' on this...anywhere!

Has anyone got an idea as to whats going on?
