Hi everyone.

My issue is that the company group policy is roll out windows updates from the internal WUS server.

I haven't had a response from IT if they will be managing Windows 7 Updates as yet but in the mean time I was wondering if there was a way to rve-enable my access. Rather be safe than sorry.

I have already looked into the gepedit.msc settings -> User Configuaration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Updates... (everything is not configured)

Also tried looking at the hklm>software>policies>microsoft>windows>windows Update settings. The export is attached.

Thanks.

Are you looking at Group policy on the Local computer?

Group policy is more for restricting access than enabling it.

Your university has chosen not to allow updates, so you'll have to wait for IT

Thanks the good news is the IT Department is doing Windows 7 updates :)
