Hi

while i was installing Windows 7( 32 bit) in my PC having 320 GB hard disk in 5 partation each about 65-70 GB size.
during windows installation i formatted one partation ( It was a logical device) to install windows inside it. but after partation it show it as EXTENDED device.
and windows refused to get installed in this partation.

now i installed it in another drive and but is enable to get mine EXTENDED drive

Please help me in recovering this drive.... ( i have tried a lot to get it back using Windows manager but unsuccessful )

Suggest please

Solution
Windows 7 does need to create an extended partition for things like system restore and so on. It sounds like windows has chosen one of your small partitions to be used as this extended drive/partition. It might be easier to 'custom' install windows creating one big partition and then after installation use the disk management console to create the extra partitions you require..
