Hi guys.. I just bought my new CPU a few weeks ago and I encounter this BSOD while playing HoN and Dota 2. I ran memtest yesterday and it got 7 passes w/o any errors. I hope you guys can solve this BSOD of mine because it gets really annoying whenever I play games :)

Thanks sincerely,
Daniel

Hello Daniel, Facing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) while gaming can indeed be frustrating. It indicates a critical system error that needs to be addressed. Since you have already run memtest and it passed without errors, we can explore other troubleshooting steps to resolve the BSOD during gaming sessions. Here are a few suggestions to help diagnose and fix the issue: 1. Check for Updated Drivers: Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause BSODs. Use tools like HWMonitor to check the temperature of your CPU and GPU. 3. Check for...

Use tools like HWMonitor to check the temperature of your CPU and GPU. 3. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Updates often include bug fixes and patches that can address system stability issues. 4. Check Event Viewer: Review the Event Viewer for error codes related to the BSOD. This can provide more specific information on what triggered the crash. 5. Run System File Checker (SFC): Use the built-in System File Checker tool to scan and repair corrupted system files that may be causing the issue. 6. Check for Malware: Run a full system scan with a trusted antivirus program to rule out malware infections that could be causing system instability. 7. Disable Overclocking: If you have overclocked your CPU or GPU, revert to default clock speeds to see if the BSOD persists. 8. Update BIOS: Ensure that your motherboard BIOS is up to date, as BIOS updates can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues. If you encounter a BSOD again, take note of the error message displayed. It usually contains a specific error code that can help in further troubleshooting. Feel free to share any error messages you receive, and we can assist you further in resolving the issue.
