Windows 7 how can i avoid online advertisements while using chrome

I don't use Google Chrome.
Chrome has a program called AdBlock.

You can google for the download.
I dislike and distrust Cnet.com and Softonic.com.


Adding : Watch out for Conduit if you use the above 2 sites for downloads.

What he said.... Although I do use Chrome and Adblock works great.

As an aside, I use AdBlock on Firefox. It works well. It also has filter and disable options, as well as the ability to open blockable items.
