i have recently switched from ubuntu to windows and i am severely suffering from the huge amounts of spam advertisements which i get while operating chrome is there a way to disable these advertisements
Solution
I don't use Google Chrome.
Chrome has a program called AdBlock.

You can google for the download.
I dislike and distrust Cnet.com and Softonic.com.
Adding : Watch out for Conduit if you use the above 2 sites for downloads.

As an aside, I use AdBlock on Firefox. It works well. It also has filter and disable options, as well as the ability to open blockable items.
