Well, I got the Windows 7 full version through my dad, (not RC) so I hope its the same and that you guys with the RC will still be able to help me out.

Here is my issue:

I need to share a USB Modem connection to multipal computers via my network. I can do this easy with Windows XP, and currently, im sharing the connection from a XP machine to my Win7 laptop (the laptop im on right now) but I want to share the connection from my Win7 machine, to my 3 XP machines, and my xbox.

I have the Sprint Mobile Broadband A95U USB Modem.

All my cables are hooked up correctly, and all that, my main issue, is figuring out how to get to the screen I guess, because as you can see, im sharing out the connection as I type with my Win XP machine to my Win 7 machine.

Thanks for the help, anyother information you need to know to help solve my issue, just ask!

Thanks!

    • In the properties window, go to the "Sharing" tab.
    • Check the box that says "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection."
    • Select the network adapter that represents your local network where you want to share the connection.
    • Click "OK" to apply the changes.
    []Configure Network Settings:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 machine has a static IP address set up for the shared connection. You can manually set this in the TCP/IP settings of the network adapter.
    [
    ]Restart the Network Services:
    • Restart the network services on your Windows 7 machine to ensure that the changes take effect.

Additional Steps for Sharing with Xbox and XP Machines:

    []For Xbox:
    • Connect your Xbox to the shared network. Typically, you would connect the Xbox to the network using an Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi if your Xbox supports wireless connections.
    [
    ]For Windows XP Machines:
    • On each Windows XP machine, you will need to set up the network to obtain an IP address automatically through DHCP if it is not already configured this way.

      Note:

      • Make sure that the Windows 7 machine with the USB modem is always on and connected to the network for other devices to access the shared Internet connection.
      • You may need to adjust firewall settings to allow network traffic.
      • Ensure that all devices on the network are in the same Workgroup or Homegroup for easier sharing.
By following these steps, you should be able to share your Sprint Mobile Broadband A95U USB Modem connection with your Windows 7, Windows XP machines, and Xbox successfully. If you encounter any specific issues during the setup, feel free to provide more details for further assistance!
