Hello
I have over 500 PPT files in which I use the font "David Transparent". I use this presentations on a weekly basis, but unfortunately the Win7 does not have this font...

I took the TTF file from m old laptop and installed it on the new one but - The only way it shows the David Transparent is on 'regular'. the moment I choose Bold or Italic it shows up as David (a bit different shape and about 25% smaller!!!).

Does anyone has a solution?

    • Verify that you have the correct version of the font file that supports all styles.
    • Sometimes, the font file itself may not include bold or italic variations, leading to the default substitution.

]Clear Font Cache: Clearing the font cache might help in refreshing the font settings. You can do this by:
    • Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
    • Locate the "Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0" service.
    • Stop the service, delete the contents of %windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\FontCache folder, and start the service again.
[]Alternative Font: If the issue persists, consider using an alternative font that behaves correctly in bold and italic styles. []Font Editing Tools: You can use font editing tools to modify the font file and add the missing styles if necessary. However, this requires some expertise in font editing.

    Additional Suggestions:

    • Compatibility Mode: Try running the PowerPoint presentations in compatibility mode to see if it helps with the font rendering.
    • Update Operating System: Consider updating Windows 7 to the latest patches and updates as some font rendering issues might be fixed in newer updates.
By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the font rendering issues with "David Transparent" in your PowerPoint presentations. If the issue persists, you may need to seek assistance from a font expert or consider using alternative fonts with similar characteristics.
