Windows 7 how to find another instance of a program running

I have been trying to install a weather programme. I have had a lot of problems so un-installed it. When I try to manually delete a few remaining files I get a message that "Errorther instance of the program's .exe file is running. Program will be terminated." How do I find this to get rid of it? Nothing shows up outside of the programme files (x86) when I search.

Try using a process manager or taskmanager and rather then end process, use end process tree option to kill it, alternately run safe mode and do remove from there
