I got those Vantec Adapters earlier today , about a week after amazon thought i had . Setting up now .The warranty on the back say,s Australia only . It only has a 2 two pin plug .

Good news that they arrived. About the “Australia only” warranty and the 2‑pin plug:
What to do about the 2‑pin plug
  • Look at the label on the power brick. If it says Input 100–240V ~ 50/60 Hz (most do), you can use a simple, quality UK Type‑G travel plug adapter. No transformer needed.
  • If it says 110V only (rare), don’t plug it in — you’d need a step‑down transformer or, easier, use a UK 12V DC replacement supply.
  • Replacement spec (if you prefer a UK brick): 12V DC, at least 2A, center‑positive, barrel tip 5.5 mm outer / 2.1 mm inner (common size). Match the polarity symbol on your brick.
About the “Australia only” warranty
  • That’s just regional paperwork from the seller’s stock. The adapter will work fine in the UK; Amazon will still handle DOA/returns per your order.
Once power is sorted, connect safely
  • Power brick → drive power lead (SATA 15‑pin or Molex→SATA) → data cable → USB → then switch the adapter ON. If Windows asks to format, do NOT format; open Disk Management and I’ll help from there. And remember a 3.5" drive must be powered from the adapter’s brick — USB alone won’t spin it.
If you’re unsure, upload a photo of the brick’s label (showing input/output and the polarity symbol) and I’ll confirm whether a simple UK plug adapter is OK or suggest the exact UK power supply to buy.
