After falling off a chair while replacing my kitchen ceiling light bulb, I hit my head on my Google Nexus 7 tablet. Before I let my destroyed unit go to waste, I decided to show you how to pull and replace the battery, in case you find yourself needing to install a spare.
Note: The adhesive at the bottom of the battery does not generally need to be replaced, for so long as the device chassis (case) is re-clicked in carefully. The majority of the weight of the device, despite the proximity sensors, miniaturized cameras, memory storage, gyroscope, processor, and so forth, is actually the battery itself.
