Infinix has announced the HOT 70 Pro 5G, a mid-range Android handset built around a 144Hz LCD display, MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 processor, and an unusually long software-support promise for the brand’s HOT line. The company disclosed the device on July 16, while regional pricing and on-sale dates remain unannounced.
Per Infinix’s launch release, the phone ships with Android 16 and XOS 16. Models with at least 6GB of RAM are promised three major Android version upgrades and five years of security patches. That makes the stated support window a more consequential specification than the design flourishes, although the commitment remains conditional on the configuration sold in each market.
The HOT 70 Pro 5G has a 6.76-inch 1080p LTPS LCD with adaptive refresh rates up to 144Hz, 240Hz touch sampling, and a claimed 950 nits of high-brightness output. It uses a 6nm Dimensity 7100 SoC and Mali-G610 MC2 graphics, with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM options and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Infinix also lists a dedicated microSD slot, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, an IR blaster, FM radio, USB-C, and dual-SIM 5G support. The handset weighs 204g and includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Camera hardware is modest: a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary rear sensor is joined by an auxiliary camera, while an 8MP camera handles selfies. Infinix advertises 2x lossless zoom and AI editing tools, including object removal and image extension.
The company claims IP68 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810 certification, though the latter does not specify which individual test methods were used. As usual, users should not treat a durability rating as permission to intentionally submerge or abuse the phone.
The more distinctive hardware addition is the “Active Matrix Cube,” a rear lighting area around the camera hardware used for notifications, ambient effects, custom icons, and small shake-controlled games. A separate AI button launches Infinix’s Folax assistant and shortcut features such as calendar or contact extraction from on-screen content. Availability of the AI functions varies by country, Infinix says.
The phone will ship in six finishes, including Thermo Orange and Mirage Green variants that change appearance with temperature or light exposure. Gizguide and Technobaboy separately reported that Infinix has not yet published pricing or a country-by-country rollout schedule.
Prospective buyers should wait for local pricing and confirmation of the battery, RAM, and support configuration before treating the HOT 70 Pro 5G as a firm purchase option.

Battery, durability, and the gimmickry
Battery specification depends on the region. Buyers will receive either a 6,000mAh single-cell model or a 5,600mAh dual-cell version, both with 45W wired charging. Infinix says the smaller-battery variant can reach a full charge in roughly 53 minutes, versus about 63 minutes for the larger pack. The phone also supports bypass charging, intended to reduce heat while gaming or otherwise using the device while plugged in.The company claims IP68 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810 certification, though the latter does not specify which individual test methods were used.
