David Anson, Senior SDE in the Silverlight controls toolkit, andDave Relyea, Senior Dev Lead on Silverlight mobile team, introduce the controls available in the first release of theSilverlight for Windows Phone Toolkit. The toolkit is open source—not only do you get good controls, but you get primitives you can reuse. Additionally, you get to learn how to build controls that are theme and orientation aware.
This first release includes: DatePicker, TimePicker, ContextMenu, ToggleSwitch, WrapPanel, and a GestureService you can use on any Silverlight App.
Nice job, "Team Dave" and the rest of the toolkit team!!
