This iPod Touch works fine on Windows XP and Windows Vista. I have two other iPods, nano 3rd and 4th gen and they both work fine with Windows 7.

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit and I'm having problems with my iPod Touch. Its taking far to long to transfer music to the device from iTunes, for example about 20 minutes for a 16 track album when usually this takes a matter of seconds in Windows XP & Vista and on my other iPods.

I have the latest firmware on the touch and the latest iTunes version, everything installed fine such as bonjour, quicktime, apple software update. Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Devices support. I've unistalled and reinstalled it all 3 times including the roamings folder plus restored my iPod Touch many times to but no joy.

It seems like you're encountering issues with your iPod Touch syncing slowly with iTunes on Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit compared to previous versions of Windows. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this problem: 1. USB Port: Ensure that you are connecting your iPod Touch to a high-speed USB 2.0 port directly on your computer. Avoid using USB hubs or extension cables that may slow down data transfer. 2. Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart of your computer and iPod Touch can resolve connectivity issues. 3. iTunes Settings: Check the iTunes settings to make sure that the syncing options are set correctly. You can review the settings by going to iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Devices. 4...

You can review the settings by going to iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Devices. 4. Update Drivers: Make sure that the drivers for your iPod Touch are up to date. You can update them through the Device Manager in Windows. 5. Disable Security Software: Temporarily disable any security software or firewalls that might be interfering with the syncing process. 6. Restore iPod: Try restoring your iPod Touch to factory settings through iTunes. This can sometimes resolve software-related issues. 7. Check iTunes Compatibility Mode: Right-click on the iTunes shortcut, go to Properties, and check the Compatibility tab. Ensure that it is not set to run in compatibility mode for older versions of Windows. 8. Check Resource Usage: Monitor the resource usage on your computer while syncing. High CPU or memory usage could be slowing down the process. 9. Reinstall iTunes: Completely uninstall iTunes and its related components, then reinstall the latest version from the official Apple website. 10. Check Apple Support: Visit the Apple Support website or contact Apple Support for specific troubleshooting steps related to syncing with iTunes. By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the slow syncing issue between your iPod Touch and iTunes on Windows 7. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any other questions!
