Is John McAfee innocent?

It is a story full of mystery and intrigue.

Internet security mogul John McAfee is famous for developing the McAfee anti-virus software. He is making his case, both online, and in the media, that he is entirely innocent in killing his neighbor. He claims the police in Belize poisoned his dogs and killed his neighbor to frame him.

Since then, John McAfee has strategically created a Twitter account, website about his plight, and now fled from Belize to Guatemala. He has produced evidence that a former Belizian military officer, as well as a politician, may have made plans to kill him.

John McAfee has been criticized for using an online drug forum and creating what he calls a "joke thread" with over 1,000 replies. Not only has he been accused of being a murder suspect, but may also be one of the greatest forum trolls of all time! Too bad he didn't use our Security Zone!

Now why would they do that if they wanted McAfee dead?

Seems if they wanted McAfee dead, they would have poisoned the neighbors dogs and killed McAfee. This would have given them an easier target for a frame up and allowed them to get their main objective at the start.

If they murdered him directly, it is possible they could not seize his assets. But if he was convicted of the crime... However, I'm not really sure one way or the other. It does look like he politically upset the establishment, but what kind of investigation Belize has even done is unusual. There was some talk of them completely destroying one of his houses, and it is known to be a corrupt government. Why he moved there is beyond me.

John McAfee currently awaits an appeal for political asylum to determine if he will be allowed to stay in Guatemala, return to the United States, or be handed over to the Belize authorities who have brought no formal charges against him.
