Is there a way to pause, view previous photos, or find the file location in the Windows 8 screensaver slideshow?

Solution
In Windows 8, while the screensaver slideshow is running, you can pause it and view previous photos, but finding the file location directly from the screensaver interface isn't a built-in feature. Here's how you can achieve these actions:

Pause the Screensaver Slideshow:

  1. Move your mouse or press a key on the keyboard to exit the screensaver mode.
  2. The slideshow should pause automatically when you do this, allowing you to view the current image without it changing.

    View Previous Photos:

  3. While the slideshow is paused, you can navigate through the photos by using the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard.
  4. Press the left arrow key to view the previous photo and the right arrow key to view the next photo...

    Find File Location:

To find the file location of the photos being displayed in the screensaver slideshow, you can follow these steps:
  5. Exit the screensaver mode by moving your mouse or pressing a key.
  6. Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize."
  7. In the Personalization settings window, click on "Screen Saver" at the bottom right.
  8. Click on the drop-down menu under "Screen saver" and select "Photos."
  9. Next to the Photos screensaver option, click on "Settings."
  10. The screensaver settings window will open. Here you should see the path to the folder containing the photos used in the slideshow. By following these steps, you can pause the slideshow, view previous photos, and locate the file location of the images used in the Windows 8 screensaver slideshow.
