Windows 7 is windows 7 Ultimate beta?

I have an account with IEEE and I downloaded Windows 7 Ultimate RC and installed it on a laptop. Is there a time when Windows 7 will expire and I have to reformat to a previous Version? I did not think so but right on top of the clock it said evaluation copy (build 7100)

The Windows 7 RC (build 7100) expires in March 2010.. At this time it will begin bi-hourly shut-downs.. The final Retail version of Windows 7 is to be released on October 22nd, 2009 so it's easy to avoid the shut-downs.. Simply purchase the final version and yes you'll have to clean install it over top of the RC if you wish to continue using Windows 7..
