Hello there
I am attempting to shrink my C:/ drive in order to make another partition for Linux Mint.
When I try to shrink the drive in Disk Management, only about 7gb are shrunk, while I have 50gb of free space on that drive, and I even defragmented it. I unfortunately do not have another hard drive I can shrink instead.
I understand that it might not be the best idea to shrink your C:/ drive, but 7gb is just ridiculous!

Thanks,
NaartjieDude

Nothing wrong with shrinking drive C (but leave yourself about 10GB minimum for working space and Windows Updates etc.) The integrated partition management in Windows has serious limitations - use Easeus partition manager, free from here:

Best FREE Partition Manager Freeware for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 32 bit & 64 bit. EASEUS free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.
