Local Administrator cannot install any program in windows 7. I use Ultimate version since 1 + year and never had the problem before. But last 1 month onwards this problem has started. Like Cannot install Java / Firefox 15 etc.. the error says that the location where the TEMP files are to be created "does not have access".

Please help and thanks in advance....

Solution
It seems like the issue you are facing with installing programs on Windows 7 is related to the permissions of the TEMP folder where temporary files are usually created during installations. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

Method 1: Check and Update Temp Folder Permissions

  1. Navigate to the Temp Folder:
    • Press Windows Key + R to open the "Run" dialog.
    • Type %TEMP% and hit Enter. This will open the Temp folder.
    []Check Permissions:
    • Right-click on the Temp folder, select "Properties," and go to the "Security" tab.
    • Ensure that your user account (or the Administrators group) has full control over the Temp folder.
