Windows 7 looking for appointment book and calender

Hi Y'all,
I am new to this forum...I just install win7 x32 ultimate....I have outlook, but I do not like it is to slow to load and it is bulky...I want something simple that has a calender and appointment book combined...does anybody have any ideas, would appreciate any suggestions

I use an old Microsoft Works Calendar that came with my first computer and Windows 98. I think it's great and very easy to use. It works perfect with all the Microsoft OS's including W7.

Yes, there are,

Look for open source or freeware as these are usually upgraded quite often.

I looked, nothing there, for free that is..is did dl a prog called essential PIM, that may have some promise...I am going evaluate that for a few days..thanks for the input, all help is appreciated
